HOW IT WORKS
Why My Guidance Costs You Nothing
Most people assume there is a catch. There isn't — but you deserve to know exactly how this works.
Senior living placement is free to families because communities invest in me.
Senior living communities budget for marketing — and working with a licensed placement agency is one of the most efficient ways they spend that budget. When I guide a family to the right community and a move-in happens, the community pays me a referral fee. You are never billed. The decision is always yours, on your timeline.
This arrangement is fully legal and transparent because I am a state-licensed placement agency (License #12186-BPR-0). Nevada law requires agencies to hold this license before communities can legally compensate them for referrals. My license protects you, the community, and the integrity of the entire process.
Need More Than Placement Guidance?
Sometimes families ask for more hands-on help — coordinating care from a distance, helping mom downsize and pack, or managing a transition from start to finish. If that comes up in our conversation, I have options.
All support services are completely optional, never automatically included, and always discussed and agreed upon in writing before anything begins.
Questions About Cost & Licensing
Q.) Why is placement guidance free? What is the catch?
A.) There is no catch. Senior living communities pay me a referral fee when a family I have guided chooses their community and moves in. This is a standard, legal arrangement — but in Nevada it requires a state license and a written agreement between the agency and the community. I hold that license (#12186-BPR-0) and maintain compliant agreements with every partner community.
Q.) Will the community I choose cost more because they are paying you a referral fee?
A.) No. Referral fees are a standard part of a senior living community's marketing budget. The pricing you are quoted is the same whether you found the community through me, through a Google search, or by walking in the door.
Q.) What if I want help that goes beyond finding a community?
A.) I offer optional coordination and consulting packages for families who need more hands-on support — whether that is help coordinating care at home, managing a transition, or ongoing oversight of a loved one's care. These services are always optional, always discussed upfront, and always agreed upon in writing before anything begins.
Q.) Is Nevada Care Compass the only licensed placement agency in Northern Nevada?
A.) Yes. As of the date of this writing, Nevada Care Compass holds the only active state-issued senior living placement license (BPR) in Northern Nevada. There are only six licensed placement agencies in the entire state of Nevada.
You Don’t Have to Navigate This Alone
Urgent situations can feel overwhelming — but families do not have to navigate them without support.
